Cryptographic techniques based on data encryption play an important role in the information security. The cryptography has been exclusively used by governments and large companies. However, with the widespread use of computers and the high availability of sophisticated communication networks, now most individuals and corporations need special protection of their private or business data by cryptography. In this thesis, the mathematical based data encryption algorithms used in cryptosystems are comperatively evaluated to form a basis for the encryption. Besides, the data encryption and decryption algorithms are considered from the time of cryptography’s inception. With the aim of decrypting a message encrypted by the public key RSA algorithm, a database including prime numbers of digits is created. Then the p, q-component of the number with digits has been calculated to decrypt the encrypted data.

       With the rapid development of the computer technology, new cryptology methods are required. I hope the results of this study will be improved and useful for the implementation of the cryptographic methods based on mathematical problems in the further studies.
