Summary: The aim of the study is to detect of the Bryophyta Flora of Sis Mountain. Within this study, 3000 bryophyte specimens were collected from 141 localities in different periods ofvegetation, between 09 April 2016 and 03 September 2017. in the Sis Mountain (Trabzon and Giresun). As a result of examination of specimens a total of 331 taxa belonging 63families and 139 genera in Bryophyta, which 56 taxa belongs 13 order, 23 families, and 32 genera in division Marchantiophyta and 275 taxa belonging 14 order, 40 families and 107genera belonging mosses. Gymnomitrion obtusum (Lindb.) Pears, Anastrophyllum minutum (Schreb.) Schust, Sphagnum quinquefarium (Braithw.) Warnst, andBlindiadelphus campylopodus (Kindb.) are new to Bryophyte Flora of Turkey. Also, genera Blindiadelphus and Anastrophyllum are given as new records for the bryophyteflora of Turkey. Besides, Pohlia camptotrachela (Renauld Cardot) Broth. and Hygrohypnum ochraceum (Turner ex Wilson) Loeske have been recorded for the secondtime in Turkey. Trichocolea tomentalla (Ehrh.) Dumort, Pseudotaxiphyllum elegans (Brid.) Z. Iwats and Hookeria acutifolia W. J. Hooker Greville are reported to the thirdtime in Turkey. Additionally a total of 23 taxa, which are 10 taxa from Marchantiophyta and 13 from Bryophyta, have been recorded as new records for the square A4 according tothe Henderson (1961) grid system. In the florostic list, all taxa are presented in systematically with their localities, ecological features and life forms. |
