      From the phytogeographic point of view study area is situated at the Euxine province of Euro-Siberrean floristic region. In this study which is carried out between 1999-2001, the plants collected from the study area were dried according to the herbarium techniques and identified by using the flora books. During the study, 203 genus including to 65 families and 301 species were determined. Five of these families belong to Pteridophyta and the others to Spermatophyta. The families have the greatest number of species in order; Leguminosae, Compositae, Labiatae, Graminae, Cruciferae, Rosaceae, Scrophulariaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Ranunculaceae, Umbelliferae, Geraniaceae, Liliaceae ve Boraginaceae.

      The dispersion of identified taxons which are included in the certain phytogeographical regions are as follows: % 15.95 Euro-Siberrean, %6.31 Mediterrenean, % 2.99 Euxine, %2.32 Irano-Turanien, 0.99 Hyrcano-Euxine. The floristic regions of the other taxons could not be identified.

      The vegetation of the study area was studied by the metod of Braun-Blanquet. Finally 3 plant associations belong to 3 different vegetation types were determined. Plant associations in the study area as follws:

      1. Associations belongs to maquis vegetation: Phillyrea latifolia-Carpinus orientalis

      2. Associations belongs to forest vegetation: Quercus cerris var. cerris-Carpinus orientalis

      3. Associations belongs to stream vegetation: Platanus orientalis-Salix alba
