Summary:

In this study, the flora of hygrophylum vegetation of Iyidere Stream, which flows through the centre of Ikizdere to Black Sea was examined. This study was carried out between the years of 2000-2001.

The collected plants were dried according to herbarium techniques and identified by using the books of flora.

As a result of study, 138 taxa were determined which belong to 110 genera and 53 families in this area. One of these families belongs to Pteridophyta, the others to Spermatophyta. One of the family of Spermatophyta belongs to Gymnospermae subdivisio and the others to Angiospermae subdivisio. The families have the greatest number of species in order; Asteraceae, Poaceae, Lamiaceae, Leguminosae, Cruciferae, Ranunculaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Boraginaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Polygonaceae.

The dispersion of floristic region to taxa: 26 %Europe-Siberian, 10 % Euxin, 2 % Hyrcano-Euxin. The floristic regions of the other taxa could not be defined. All the taxa have been in the square of A8 and Lolium multiflorum belongs to Gramineae is a new record for this square.
