Summary:

In this study, the negative effects of carbaryl insecticide, which is used on the hazulnut plant widely grown in Eastern Blacksea Region and has carbaryl insecticide economic value for the country, and the extent to which these negative effects can be eliminated by plant growth regulators (PGR) were aimed to determine.

In the study, the total chlorophyll, and karotenoid analyses in the hazelnut plant which is proposed carbaryl and applied to carbaryl insecticide after it was pretreated with benzyladenine (BA) and indole-3- acetic acid (IAA) were determined. Also oil quantity of hazelnut of hazelnut plant and width, length, and the weigh of the hazelnut were determined. When compared with the control group, the differences among the parameters that were quantitatively analyzed in the plants applied to PGM were not statistically significant.

According to the findings, it was revealed that plant growth regulators probably can not change the negative effects of carbaryl on the hazelnut plants.
