Summary:

In this study, 47 populations belonging to 23 wild Hieracium L. (Asteraceae) taxa were investigated with respect to nrDNA ITS regions.

Plant materials used in this study were collected from North Anatolia during the field study in 1999–2006. Genomic DNA’s were isolated from healthy leaves of each populations to perform ITS studies. ITS regions of the examined populations were amplified by using universal primers and then sequenced. Length of ITS region variated between 706–713 bp among the taxa.
