Summary: In this study, 87 taxa of Bryophyta identified in Hatila Borough of Artvin,. Among them 6 taxa (Bryum rubens Milt., Dicranodontium uncinatum (Harv.) A. Jaeger., Eurhynchium hians var. rigidum (Baul.) Ther., Hypnum jutlandicum Holmen & Warncke, Pseudocrossidium hornschuchianum (Schultz) R. H. Zander, Rhynchostegiella jacquinii (Garov.) Limpr ) are new for A4 grid-square which is adopted by Henderson. Basides Didymodon asperifolius new records for Turkey and Grimmia ramondii was identified second times. The families which the richest species with high taxon number are as follows; Brachytheciaceae (21), Hypnaceae (13), Dicranaceae (7), Polytrichaceae (7), Grimmiaceae (7), Pottiaceae (8), Mniaceae (6), Amblystegiaceae (5), Bryaceae (4), Plagiotheciaceae (3), Thuidiaceae (2). The richest genera on account of number of taxa are; Brachythecium (6), Hypnum (6), Eurhynchium (5), Bryum (4), Dicranum (3), Polytrichum (3), Plagiomnium (3), Grimmia (3), Didymodon (3), Plagiothecium (3).
