| Summary: Anthemideae is one of the largest tribes of Asteraceae family and includes approximately 1800 species. It is represented 14 genera in Turkey. In this study, 12 taxa belonging to Achillea L., Anthemis L., Artemisia L., , Leucanthemum Mill., Matricaria L. Tanacetum L. ve Tripleurospermum Schultz Bip. were investigated karpologically.Material used in this study were collected from several regions, particularly in the Blaksea Region in Turkey between 2001 and 2008 in april and august. Taxa, related with each other closely, were compared according to their carpologic characteristics.It was determined that the color and size of achene, with or without pappus of achene and number of ribs, thickness of perikarp, with or without mucilage cells in perikarp, distributation of parenchyma and sclerenchyma cells thickness of testa and structure of testa are important taxonomically.
