Summary: This study has been performed in Kalkandere district (Rize). The lichen samples were collected from the study area between 07.08.2011-30.08.2011. The samples were identified by using the results obtained by means of the chemical tests, microscopical and macroscopical studies. In study area 112 species and 2 non-lichenized fungi in 51 genera, belonging to 32 families under Ascomycota, have been defined. Arthonia spadicea is new record to Turkey. In terms of families, percentages of distribution of the species are as follows. Physciaceae 12.2 % , Teloschistaceae 7.8 % , Cladoniaceae 7.8 % , Peltigeraceae 7.8 % , Lecanoraceae 7.0 % , Parmeliaceae 7.0 % , Lecideaceae 5.2 %, Collemataceae 4.3 %, Candelarieaceae 3.4 %, Pertusariaceae 3.4 %, Roccellaceae 3.4 %, Stereocaulaceae 3.4 %, Verrucariaceae 3.4 %, Arthoniaceae 2.6 %, Ramalinaceae 2.6 %, Arthopyreniaceae 1.7 %, Hymeneliaceae 1.7 %, Agyriaceae 1.7 %, Arctomiaceae 0.8 %, Acarosporaceae 0.8 %, Baeomycetaceae 0.8 %, Chrysothricaeae 0.8 %, Coniocybaceae 0.8 %, Graphidaceae 0.8 %, Monoblastiaceae 0.8 %, Ochrolechiaceae 0.8 %, Placynthiaceae 0.8 %, Pyrenulaceae 0.8 % , Phlyctidacea 0.8 %, Rhizocarpaceae 0.8 %, Thelotremataceae 0.8 %, Miltideaceae 0.8 %.
