Summary:

The genus Crepis L. which belongs to the family Asteraceae is represented by 42 taxa in Turkey. Stem, leaf anatomy and style micromorphology of 11 taxa(Crepis alpestris, C. amanica, C. armena, C. aspera,C. aureasubsp. olympica, C. bithynica, C. dioritica, C. dioscoridis, C. macropus, C. smyrnaea and C. zacintha) belonging to the genuswereexamined in detail in this study. The plant materials examined were collected duringplant’s vegetation period in 2013.The anatomical investigations were carried outusing stock materials while scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis were carried out using herbarium materials. The taxa which was examined for the anatomical structure of stem was found to occur epidermis, cortex, vascular bundles and pith.It was exhibited thatthe leaves of all of taxa are amphistomatic and stomata are anomocytic type. The style of the taxa were determined 2 different types of papillary in the results of SEM analysis. This study determined anatomical and micromorphological properties of taxa and identified the similarities and differences among them. The finding revealed taxonomically important characteristics.
