Summary: In this study, variations of some morphological characters (pholidolial characteristics, body measurements and ratios), belonging to the populations of two subspecies of Artvin lizard (Darevskia derjugini) distributed in Turkey, was observed. Based on Independent Sample T Test performed between two subspecies, SCPb and VENDOR pholidolial characteristics and BE, PE, BI and PI morphometric measurements were found significantly different between two subspecies. According to Discriminant analysis, nine populations belonging to two subspecies comprised four groups in the Canonical matrix. Because some groups included two subspecies, a clear distinction between two subspecies was not observed.
In conclusion, morpological variations between two subspecies of D. derjugini distributed in Turkey was investigated by this study, but morpological differences reported in literatüre for two subspecies were not observed.
