Summary:

In this study, Environmental Impact Assesment (EIA) concept, development of EIA and metamorphasis of EIA Instructions in Turkey and problems in EIA applications are examined. Since 1993, revised EIA Instructions are analyzed in detail and defects which are occured every EIA stages is assemented through given EIA application examples.

Reached conclusions confirm indispensabilty of EIA Process. Effects to our country of global Environmental problems introduce simply necessity of existing environmental quality conservation. EIA is very important. Because it determines probable effects from any investment to the environment quality by means of EIA in beginning applications was received as a handicap for investor, in present this thought is reversed entirely for public opinion and investor.
