      One of the most important components, that threatens the future of our World by polluting the environment, is solid wastes. The amount is rising parallelly with the development in technology and the increase in population and the composition of these wastes is changing relevantly with the new habits of consumption. As the result of changes in waste compositon, recycling of packaging wastes, which has a particularly important position within solid wastes, gained great value.

      The aim of this thesis to evaluate separate collection of packing waste materials and recovery and reuse alternatives according to PackingWaste Control Regulations and the pilot study conducted by local authority in Trabzon in aspect of environmental and economical view.
