| Summary: In the research, change of vocational burnout level of seafarers based on their demography was examined. The scope of this study, 305 maritime seafarers working at various size and type of ships in Samsun, Istanbul and Trabzon harbours were selected randomize and subjected to survey. In the survey, Maslach Burnout Inventory was used for bournout with three factors, emotional burnout, desensitization and individual failure. According to results of the study, there were not statistically significant differences between three burnout factors of seafarers based on their age, having child, education level, job type, total experience at ship and monthly income levels (p>0,05). On the other hand, there were statistically significant difference between desensitization and emotional burnout levels based on ship type, and emotional burnout and individual failure levels based on marital status (p<0,05). It may be argued that much of difference analysis were insignificant since there were high level of burnout at all demographic classes. For this reason, it may be suggested that it may be useful to increase success of seafarer by giving job education and reducing burnout levels in ship environment.
