| Summary: World bulk carrier fleet and general cargo fleet is bigger than any other kind of ship fleets in the World in total. According to UNCTAD data 2017 world bulk carrier fleet tonnage is 796,581,000 metric tons and world general cargo ship tonnage is 74,824,000 metric tons. Trade of grains, ores, coal, scrap etc. are being maden by these ships around the world. Main cargo weight measuring method at bulk carriers and general cargo vessels is draught survey calculation. Within scope of the study, loading and discharging draught survey reports dated between 2011-2018 has been collected from the ships and difference between loading and discharging figures has been analyzed. Literature about draught survey and draught survey error sources has been reviewed. A fuzzy AHP questionnaire was prepared in the light of opinions of the experts and the questionnaire was answered by captains and chief officers for the purpose of taking their opinion and determining priority vector of the criterions at draught survey error sources. As a result, priority vector of the criterions were found as %38 draught reading, %32 lack of surveyor education, %19 ballast measurement and %11 displacement calculation.
