| Summary: According to demographical features of seafarers, the variability of Turkish seafarers job satisfaction level has been examined. In the scope of this study, the questionnaire has been applied to 239 Turkish seafarers who are actively working.
In conclusion, while there hasnt been observed any statistically significant differences between job satisfaction of the seafarers and variables in terms of age, having a child, marital status, education level, the total amount of time worked in a ship, type of ship worked in general, tonnage of the ship worked in general, salary and the flag of the ship, there has been observed statistically significant differences between job satisfaction of the seafarers and variables of the duty. Some sub-dimensions of job satisfaction is affected by in terms of age, education level, the total amount of time worked in a ship, the tonnage of the ship worked in general and salary, however; it is not affected by any dimension in terms of having child, marital status, type of ship worked in general and the flag of the ship. It is concluded that Turkish seafarers have medium-level job satisfaction.
