Summary: CCD cameras, requirements for designing an optimum television studios, which have performances for signing measurement criterias and methods for convenient laboratory conditions at different color temperatures, luminance values etc. are provided for measuring gamma correction, horizontal resolution, random S/N and fixed S/N. The data, which are obtained from these measurements, connected with frequency, color temperature and iris step are explained after that measurement. In addition with the differences between the tube and CCD sensors are suggested in this study. This study includes four parts. The subjects like the development of the color television, electronic scanning and the form of the picture, the principles of converting analog signals to digital signals at television systems, the properties and designing of television studios, the samples and operations of tube sensors, the samples and operations of CCD sensors, the comparison between tubes and CCD sensors are suggested in this part. The measurement methods for defining the performance of CCD cameras are suggested at the second part. In addition with the equipment used, measurement conditions and measurement procedures which are used at testing, are mentioned here. Some sample tests are measured at different conditions and the results of these tests are formed as tables and graphics in order to tell the importance of measurement in the third part of this study. Results and some projects are mentioned at the fourth part of this study.
