Summary: Pole placement methods are used in the design of different control systems. For example; the controlling of helicopters, aircrafts, misilses, generator voltage regulators and mechanical systems. Methods which are given for pole placement are divided into two main categories according to feedback. These are state feedback and output feedback methods. In this study, pole placement methods was researched in time-invariant, linear, continuous systems and for single input-single output and multi input-multi output systems.
Output feedback is the other feedback type. Pole placement methods with output feedback were improved by utilizing from pole placement with state feedback. Generalised matrix inverse approach which is provided transition between two different kind of feedback is built fundamental of algorithms which are used in output feedback in this thesis. Transition to output feedback with this approach was only provided from mapping approach which is one of the state feedback methods. In this work, this method was examined for different algorithms and was achieved to efficient results. In this thesis, advatages and disadvantages were mentioned for algortihms which were used. The performance of the methods were tested on various systems for different poles. Results illustrates the accuracy and validity of the proposed methods.
