1500 KVA Power, and 6.3 KV Output Voltage, and Its H.V. Breakers

      In recent years, monitoring and control systems realized with SCADA has been

gainning popularity. SCADA systems are commonly used in industrial systems as

      electricity energy generation, transmission and distribution, production processes in

factories, water, petroleum and gas distribution. The reason is that SCADA has capability

      of collecting monitor and records of all the processes in one center, saving time and

manpower. In this study, the automation of a system including generator and high voltage

      breakers is examined and a remote monitoring SCADA software is developed.

In chapter one, SCADA technologies are examined, the fundamental components of

      the control units of SCADA systems are mainly taken up as blocks, and it is detaily

emphasized on SCADA communication methods, required techniques, standards and

      communication protocols.

In chapter two, an automation system including two generator group with diesel

      engine has 1500 kVA power and 6.3 kV output voltage and the high voltage breakers

belongs to this generator group is examined in detail, comprehensive information is given

      about the components of the system, and an example remote monitoring SCADA software

developed for this automation system is introduced.
