Summary:

      In this study, a real time system design, which can track the target in dynamic environments with moving camera, was carried out. Taking moving image is being done by a camera which is located on a moving platform. The system consists of a main module like taking image, identifying target object and a tracking target object.

When the target object is seen on the camera, its location on the image is found and tracking the object starts. Tracking image is the process of determining the location information in the frame of a moving object gained by using camera in sequential video frames. To carry out this, Camshift Algorithm in MATLAB 7.9 was used.

      For the study a software was developed. This software can process the image of an object on computer environment taken by a camera for security, can track the object s orbit and can guess the future location of the object. On the second stage, stepper motor which moves the platform located a camera on according to the data coming from computer is ran by microcontroller.

The methods used in this system for theoretical and implementation were stated and the solutions for the problems encountered were examined. The statistical values gained as a result of study show that tracking objects along the video frames could be done successfully..
