Summary: Changes in energy demand in the power grid occur at predictable reasonable levels for system operators. With electric vehicles reaching significant number of parks intransportation, System operators must change their predictions and revise planned investments. A distribution system integrated with electric car charging stations wasmodeled in Trabzon to determine the number of electrical vehicles for the region according to the countrys goals and policies, and to detect and minimize system requirements early. In the study, the distribution system, which serves the 40% population of Trabzon, was modeled. The base year for the distribution system was set and the load increase forecastswere included in the system for years, regardless of the number of electric vehicles. The development of the number of park of electric vehicles in the city was determined bymathematical expressions in accordance with the countrys goals and policies. Depending on the number of electric vehicles, energy demands from charging units were integrated intothe distribution system in accordance with the standards. Modeling and calculations were carried out in Digsilent Power Factory. How effect to load flow in distribution system wasdetermined examining voltage losses and line loading because of electric vehicles development and charging stations. |
