Summary: In this thesis, the aim is to show the effect of the theoretical parameters of electromagnetic launcher systems, whose importance in the defense industry is increasingday by day, by implementing the theoretical model together with different target determination methods. In this system, where capacitors are charged-discharged byproviding voltage gain, the voltage gain is provided with a flyback converter, with an input voltage of 24 volts and an output voltage between 100 and 250 volts. In the firing model, thecharge is stored with the paralel connected capacitors and the firing with high currents are done in MATLAB/Simulink software environment. In addition, the magnetic characteristicof the coil is shown in the ANSYS/Maxwell simulation program. For the firing model to detect the target; an acoustic positioning system which detects location using time differencealgorithm and an identifier that detects target presence using image processing techniques have been designed. By using the created model, the velocities of 2 to 65 m/s have beenreached in the shots. |
