Summary:

Axiomatic design method allows designers to evaluate solutions for a specified design problem. Designers can select the best alternatives that reduce faulty and challenging progressions. Within the scope of this thesis, axiomatic design was used for the lean transformation of the company in the energy sector. Value stream maps, which are one of the lean production techniques at one stage of axiomatic design, are a tool that shows the details of the production process in enterprises and provides an understanding of the production process. Thanks to these maps, the bottlenecks in the flow were determined and kaizen suggestions were made. Axiomatic design reveals how the lean transformation process stages should be managed. A mathematical model has been proposed for the employee assignment problem This model includes the aim of minimizing the workload imbalance among employees. With the application of the methodology, the effect of the difference in the number of workers on the total working time is seen. The work plan shows that a balanced distribution can be made when the number of workers is based on the average working time per person. Systematic handling of the lean transformation process by the company minimizes the cost, reveals the waste points and indolent time.
