Summary:

In this work, natural and artificial radioactivity levels have been measured, for natural and mineral waters collected from Eastern Black Sea region. Related annual dose equivalent rates have been calculated for these measurements. Also chemical analysis carried out for these waters.

Mean values of gross alpha and beta activities have been found as 25,8 mBq/L and 31 mBq/L for natural waters, and as 125 mBq/L and 170,4 mBq/L for mineral waters.

      As a result gama spectroscopy measurements we found, 47 mBq/L, 22,6 mBq/L, 17,1 mBq/L and 319,7 mBq/L, for (226)^Ra, (232)^Th, (137)^Cs and (40)^K respectively in natural waters; 129 mBq/L, 30 mBq/L, 22 mBq/L and 659 mBq/L in mineral waters.

Annual effective dose equivalent rates in natural waters for adults, children and babies have been calculated for 226Ra 10,2 µSv/y, 4,9 µSv/y, 3,5 µSv/y, for 232Th 3,7 µSv/y, 1,8 µSv/y, 1,3 µSv/y, for 137Cs 1,7 µSv/y, 0,8 µSv/y, 0,6 µSv/y and for 40K 0,26 µSv/y, 0,12 µSv/y, 0,09 µSv/y, in mineral waters these rates for adults have been found as 13,2 µSv/y, 2,7 µSv/y, 1,6 µSv/y and 0,13 µSv/y for (226)^Ra, (232)^Th, (137)^Cs and (40)^K respectively.

Amounts of Na, Al, P, Cl, K, Ca, V, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ba in natural and mineral waters have been measured by chemical analyze method.

Relation between all measured and calculated data have been compared with Pearson Correlation Statistic.
