Summary:
Samples were excited using 5.96 keV from an Fe-55 radioactive source, the emitted x-rays were counted using a Si(Li) dedector with resolution 147 eV at 5.89 keV. As a result, it was found that the cross- sections and average M shell fluorescence yields are increasing with the increasing atomic number. The differential cross- sections are increasing with increasing emission angle. The obtained values in this study have been compared with the theoretical and others experimental values. A fairly good agreement is obtained between the experimental and theoritical values. Key Words: M shell X- rays Production Cross- Section, Average Fluorescence Yield, Differential Cross- Section, X- Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Excitation |
