Summary:

       In this study that used Ultima Gold F as a cocktail, nitrometan (CH3NO2) as a chemical quench and yellow dye as a colour quench, puls shape capabilities of Hidex 300SL and Hidex Triathler detectors were compared for the quantification of 222Rn. Figure of merit and % spillover values were seen to differ with added quench level, quench type and the detector used. Moreover, with added quench volume, puls discrimination capability of 300SL was seen to show better results compared with Triathler.
