Summary:

In the world, the need for oil and gas is increasing every day and this makes it necessary for the development of new technology. Therefore, offshore industry is become one of the most developing industries all over the world today.

Seakeeping analysis has a major importance for reaching the desired level in load, crew and equipment safety for offshore platforms.

In this study, floating, production, storage and offloading units (FPSOs) encountered during the operation, and response to the coupled dynamic analysis made in the loading conditions that occur due to environmental conditions were compared with previous experimental results. For this, diffraction and radiation theory to analyse the ship motions is explained and the analysis was carried out on FPSO hull forms using ANSYS AQWA program which is based on this theory and carries out calculations via panel method using green functions. Primarily the analysis results and experimental results of the past studies are compared. Thereafter, changing the materials and environmental conditions of the mooring lines, it has investigated the effects of these changes on the FPSO and mooring systems.
