Summary: If we think that there is a demand of new energy sources in the world and Turkey is a penunsula, it is very important offshore structure technology in our country. Although advanced countries improved very much in this subject, there is a lack of knowledge and technology about this subject in Turkey. For his reason, the main goal of my study is to investigate the offshore structures structural and formal characteristics. Fort this aim excuted study is presented four parts. In first part of study, knowledges about general definition of offshore structures, briefs of before studies on this subject, fundamentals of offshore structures, kinds of offshore structures, offshore platforms and circumstance of offshore structures technology in our country and in the world are given generally. In the seconda part of this study, offshore structure are exposed loads or load effect permanent, live, construction and installation, environmantel and accidental loads themes are studied. In this part, wind, wave, current, earthquake loads important fort he desing paramaters of offshore structures are emphasized. In the third chapter, an offshore structure and its material properties represenred in the examples.Loads influencing the structure are applied on models and solved by using computer software which solves the problems using with finete element method is ANSYS. In consequence of this thesis, the results and suggestions obtained are introduced, list of bibliograpy and autobiography.
