      The decline in the accidents occuring on highway pavements are the main objective of the Turkish public especially the reseachers. Traffic accidents in Turkey is the main contribution to deaths among ages between 15-35 and considering the injure rates it comes first before deasease and other accidents. Deaths related accidents due to vehicle deviating from the road occupies approximately 20 % of the total deaths of traffic acccidents. In this study, the guardrail systems which reduces accidents related to deviation vehicles devaiting from the platform is studied. The guardrail system prevents vehicle devaiting from the road for any reasone. The devaition of the vehcile should be in an controlled manner. Uncontrolled vehicle is a treat to the other vehicles travelling on the same road.

      As a results Transportation officers should systematically take the necessary cautions to prevent accidents while considering the economical and maintenance criterias.
