Summary:

       The mechanism of explosion and its effects have been performed either theoretically and experimentally by many researchers. These studies focused on calculation of certain amount of blast pressure and its failure mechanism on any system. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate of steel panels under different blast pressures.

The study done for the purpose consists of five main chapters. In the first chapter, general information is presented, event of explosion mechanism and measures to be taken against the effects of the explosion of varieties mentioned. In the second chapter, studies made on design steel panel modeling with a different support designs, and behavior against the effects of the explosion in steel panels with ABAQUS-6.10.1 computer program. The conclusion drawn from the results of this study and suggestion are summarized in the third chapter. This last chapter is followed by list of references and one appendix.

       The conclusions obtained from study of steel panels under the influence of the explosion, showed that the most of the blast energy dissipated by supports.
