Summary: Although the benefits that the widely used Building Information Modeling technology can bring to project stakeholders are addressed in many researches, it can be seen from the literature that there are few studies showing that these benefits may also be in retrofit projects. In this study, the problems encountered in the retrofit works carried out by traditional project management processes for an existing building have been determined, and the solutions that are able to produce for these problems in the case of incorporating the Building Information Modeling technology into the project management process have been investigated. For this purpose, firstly information about the project management processes of the building, which will be examined as a case study, was obtained from interviews with project managers. In the light of this gathered information, the project management process was again modeled with the Building Information Modeling technology, and through the obtained models, the project management process was followed up again with the Building Information Modeling basis. |
