Summary:

      Today, when it comes to increasing consumption based on population, importance of

distribution centers for businesses like grocery stores, shops is increasing day by day. In this

      study it is determined the places of distribution center of 30 groceries in order to procure the

products in Kalkınma and Üniversite quarters in Trabzon city .This study has been occurred

      by considering that distribution centers are not only on specific points but also entire main

roads directions. Occurring distribution centers on the roads between groceries enable to

      minimize both loss of time & transportation costs and easily transportation to a distribution

center for more than one groceries. In addition, if the distribution centers are close to

      groceries, loss of time and environmental pollution caused by product carrying vehicles will

be reduced.

      The roads between groceries are determined by line segments. Roads are defined by the

conjunction of separated line segments in two-dimensioned space. Present optimization

      methods research in area but, in this study it is required different approach because of the

limitation about lines. For this reason, artificial bee algorithm has been improved based on

      present problem.
