      Surveying engineering activities play effective role at all stages which start with highway plans and finish building it as in a lot of engineering activities. In this study surveying engineering activities were searched at highways projects and construction plans, projects, built and control criteria were also investigated at General Directorate of Highways. This search contains explanation of highway and construction methods. Besides, the advantages and disadvantages of the methods and techniques were examined

      construction to private sector firms. Private sector firms built highway constructions and this work was checked by General Directorate of Highways. Generally, highway measurement techniques and construction methods were determined by private sector firm. In this determination technical personal of private sector firm and its technical supplies play a substantial role. If private sector firm apply new measurement and construction technique, highway may build with in short time, low cost and great accuracy.
