Summary:

       In recent years, high-resolution aerial photographs and satellite images to automatically identify objects and applications of modern geographic information technologies is of great importance. Among the most important of these applications includes buildings and road to be identified. Buildings identified, the underlying date sources for geographic information systems creates.In addition to this ,city planning and natural disasters,infactructure development ,the establishment of communication lines and the like used in many urban applications. Building an important data source for determining the digital aerial photographs, but retention of high spatial resolution and broad spectral features, as well as resolution is often used in many studies. This study, building and road details were discovered through aerial photography.

Detailed information on the purpose of building and road extraction, three different methods are used. These methods, Region Growing, Mean-shift, and Watershed Segmentation, and details were discovered by this method. Set aside the best results in the literature because the method used to study Canny filter. Applying these filters on the image of other objects of the sharp edges to facilitate separation provides. Methods related to code written in Matlab software and the image on the applications were executed.

      Results for image control, the original image converted to grayscale images overlap with, Mean-shift segmentation methods from the methods used to determine the number of buildings higher than other methods that have been revealed.

This study details the building of infrared aerial photographs and image processing technologies can be automatically determine the most appropriate method has provided a significant contribution in terms of development.
