Summary:

This study examines the current situation in constructing Integrated Disaster Risk Maps in Kars province and its usability in Kars. In the first stage, ten areas (inventories) as avalanche falling (3), landslide site (4) and rock fall (3) were identified in the borders of Kars. These data of inventories were measured by means of CORS-TR within the coordinates of the ITRF96 system in the field work. Our study comprises of two stages.

In the first stage, in the making of Sensitivity Analysis Maps, firstly, numeric curves of the 1/25000 sheets and non-numeric 1/25000 sheets in the producing DEM (Digital Elevation Model) map were examined by super-posing them with one another in the same coordinate system, through the GIS (Geographic Information System). In the second stage, while preparing Sensitivity Analysis Maps, we mark the inventory data that are used in the analyses for the avalanche, landslide and rock fall sites. In this process, while making measurements of ten inventory data points, four points, which are measured and identified clearly on the ground, have been marked on the Google Earth to identify measurement errors that may have occurred.

Our aim was to qualify the errors that occur in the processing of the adjusting and producing of the data in Sensitivity Analysis Maps. The conducted research shows the importance of data accuracy.
