Summary:

Education, defined as the processes in which human beings develop skills, attitudes and behaviors that have a value in the society they live in, starts with the family and continues with the school. The most important aim of the education and training activities starting with

the school is to raise children and young people as good people and good citizens. In order to achieve this goal, it is important to design the sites where children will be trained. Important problems in the design of these sites; rapid population growth and rapid urbanization. Rapid urbanization and population growth make it necessary to design school sites in healthy, spacious and reliable areas as well as to check the suitability of existing training sites. The fact that the planning of school sites is not done by a single decision maker creates various problems in the creation of these sites. The fact that these problems encountered in the planning of the school sites cannot be solved by the current methods makes the needs of the day and the planning of the future difficult. The use of geographic information systems technologies in the management of school sites, which is a decision support system in order to manage the difficulties encountered and to make future planning in a modern, modern and technological management style, can contribute to the solution of many problems. In this study; The most suitable sites in case study for school site were determined by providing analytic hierarchy method and GIS integration and also the suitability of existing educational institutions were examined. As a result of the study, it was seen that GIS provides great convenience in determining the most suitable school sites and determining the suitability of the existing educational institutions.
