Summary:

While scientific purposed gravity studies can successfully applied on lands and on seas now-a-days, usage and development of gravity method become important with the time. Parallel to improving technology, these studies become more economic and much faster.

Gravity model studies of basic geometric figures have been done since the beginning of science of geophysics. In study, two - dimensional synthetic models are tested with their three – dimensional planning. In additional, combinations of the gravity value and its model geometries are used in inversion calculation and the most suitable formation densities that explain the gravity, are obtained.

Synthetic model geometries and observed anomaly values of profiles that used in this study, are provided from our study.

First, three – dimensional four various synthetic model geometry planned. After, three - dimensional gravity anomalies are calculated with density accept for this model geometries by special one algorithm used, these used be of value to measure in two and three-dimensional inversion calculation subsequent. These values exercised in 2D , 3D representative 2D simulation, 3D of each selected model. Finded densities by inversion calculations checked accepted densities in forward calculations. Thus, according to shape of formations, as how necessary three-dimensional gravity studies in one’s stead two-dimensional gravity studies are emphasized. Software used in these calculations were written by Dr. ÇAVŞAK.
