| Summary: It is need that the Geophysical Engineers must have information about the shear wave which belongs to the near surface in our country. Determination of shear wave velocity is very important, because the determined velocity is used to calculate dynamic-elastic properties and site effect of the underground layers for solving of geophysics and geotechnics problems.In this thesis, it has generally been explained about the methods that use for obtaining the shear wave velocity and it has been mentioned about multichannel analysis surface wave method in detail. One dimension shear wave velocity has been determined by shot gathers, which had been obtained from synthetic and field measured, i nterpreted with multichannel analysis of surface wave method.
