21. yüzyıl dönemi; üretimde tek kaynağa bağlı ulus devletlerden, küresel ağların zenginleştiği ve bilgi toplumu fikrinin kabul gördüğü bir döneme doğru gelişim göstermektedir. Bu gelişmelere paralel olarak kentsel kuramlar da değişmekte ve dönüşmektedir. Bu hareket, sosyal ve ekonomik içerikli olan teorinin; mekânların ve yerlerin oluşumunu da içermesi hareketi olarak değerlendirilmelidir. Bu değişim öylesine hızlı olmaktadır ki içinde yaşadığımız dünya; pratik ve teorik açıdan birlikte açıklanması zorunlu bir sosyal değişim içinde olmayı gerektirmektedir. Bu kurgusu nedeni ile ders, farklı kentsel formların toplumsal, ekonomik, politik ve kültürel güçler arasındaki karmaşık ilişkiler içinde nasıl ortaya çıktığına ve bundan sonraki süreçte nasıl biçimlenmesi gerektiğine dair bir bakış açısı sunmayı hedeflemektedir.

The 21st century is developing toward a century that is enrichment of global networks and accepted of the idea of the information society from nation governments depend on a single source in production. In parallel these developments, urban theories are also changing and transforming. This movement should be regarded as the act of including the formation of spaces and places of theory that is social and economic content. This change is so fast that the world we live in; It is necessary to be in a social change which must be explained jointly in terms of practical and theoretically. The purpose of this fiction is to provide a perspective on how different urban forms emerged in the complex relations among social, economic, political and cultural forces and how they should be shaped in the following period.suggestions on development-formation of cities in the future.
