Title of the Thesis: Usability of Waste Motor Oils in the Cleaning of Coal by Oil Agglomeration Method
Level: M.Sc.
Acceptance Date: 11/11/2010
Number of Pages: 101
Registration Number: i2260
Summary:

Although, maximum ash and pyritic sulphur removals realized as 41.35 % and 36.27 % respectively, when ash separation efficiency was taken into account, most successful result was obtained in the test in which 27.62 % of ash and 16.40 % of pyritic sulphur were removed from the coal by 99.65 % organic matter recovery. It was found that most effective parameters were coal content and oil content. Waste motor oil produced higher recoveries and lower ash and pyritic sulphur removals when compared to original motor oil.
