Summary:

      In this study, two - dimensional laminar natural convection flow was numerically investigated for enclosure, which was concentric and eccentric squared geometry exposed at different tenmparuteres. Rayleigh Number, inclination angle and the dimension ratio effects on the flow field and heat transfer were, studied while the inner and outer channels were kept at constant temperatures of 1100 C and 900 C, respectively. Air was used as a working fluid and calculations were made for 103 - 106 of Rayleigh numbers, 0.693 of Prandtl numbers and 1/5 - 3/10 of dimension ratios. However, inclination angle effects on the flow and temperature field were determined for 00 - 900 . The same parameters that used for concentric geometry were also used for eccentric geometry at 3/10 of dimension ratio, and variations caused on the flow and temparature field were investigated. In this study, the governing equations were derived using Boussinesq approximation and the stream function - vortex fomulation were applied. The resulting equations were solved by using finite control volume approach.
