Summary:

The erosion behavior of Ti-6Al-4V material was numerically investigated using solid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics approaches. The results of the finite element analysis carried out by solid mechanics approaches was not in agreement with the experimental results. By contrast, the computational fluid dynamics approach was obtained results consistent with the test results.
