Summary:

      In this thesis, some asymptotic estimates are obtained for the eigenvalues of regular Sturm-Liouville problems with eigenvalue parameter in the boundary conditions with different choices of potential function.

In the first part, Sturm-Liouville problem and related theory are introduced, some important theorems are stated without proof. Also, some examples of the related problems arising from physical phenomena which emphasize the importance of this study are given.

      In the second part, the method is presented and estimated eigenvalues are evaluated when potential function is integrable and differentiable. Finally, derivative of spectral function of the problem is investigated.
