      This thesis titled as "Characteristic Classes" consists of two chapters.

       In the first chapter which is the preliminary to the next one, some definitions and theorems concerning the topological spaces, direct-invers limit, groups, exact sequences, tensor product, rings, polynomial rings, simplexes and triangulations are given.

       In the second chapter, for the construction of characteristic classes, manifolds, bundless, homology and cohomology groups are examined. Then by giving Stiefel-Whitney classes, Euler classes, Chern and Pontrjagin classes, relation between characteristic classes of different bundles are examined.
