Summary:

Normal Difference Operators For The First Order

In this study, the normality and spectral structure of the first order linear difference operators with operator coefficient in Hilbert spaces of sequences are investigated. The obtained results in discrete case are compared with the results in continuous case.

In the first part of the study basic concept and results in the Functional Analysis, Operator and Spectral Theory are summarized.

In the second and the third parts the problems mentioned above are investigated respectively in l_2(Z) and l_2(N).Moreover, all results in this thesis are supported with examples.
