| Summary: In this thesis hyperbolic geometry which is different from Euclidean geometry is given and the group of the homeomorphisms from the upper half plane into itself is constructed. Chapter 1 is concerned with the study of some basic concepts of hyperbolic geometry and the Mobius transformations related to the upper half plane U. Chapter 2 is the main chapter in the theses. Here we obtain the normalizer of the congruence subgroup in the group And furthermore all finite subgroups extracted from the normalizer are examined and that the necessary and sufficient conditions for these finite groups to be a direct product for some subgroups are given.
