| Summary: Broadly, architecture is the art of designing the place where human beings need to live, to shelter and to protect themselves from natural conditions. This kind of art has continued to progress since the existance of mankind and has been influenced by the developments and changes in the society. Thus, arcthitecture should be considered as the concrete evidence which reflects a society s political, economical and socio cultural enviroment. In order to understand the Turkish Architecture, we should examine it thtough the economical, political and socio economical dimensions of the society. This doctore study which has intented to research throughly what Turkish architecture symbolizes in 2000 s carries out this research by associating social structure within the framework of modernizm via National Architecture Exhibition and Awards that efforts to create representation enviroment. With this content , this doctore study consists of four parts: In the chapter of General Intoduction, initially, the goal and scope definitions are introduced, the terms of architecture and modernism are elobrated , then with a historical perspective , the interaction in modernism and architecture are associated with the social structure of the society. Moreover, architecture exhibitions as repsenters are mentioned on be half of National Architecture Exhibition and Awards, and the political, economical, socio cultural events which will help us to analyse the social structure in 2000 s are also listed. In the chapter of Conducted Studies, Catalouges of National Architecture exhibitions are examined, the architecture trends that are assumed to shape the structures in the catalouge are defined and structures are grouped according to these trends. Mentioned in the previous section, the socio cultural, political, economical events and the ones related to architecture and city are put in tables, the data are analyzed through matching the architecture trends. In the chapter of Findings, a consideration of catalouge period is made; the correlation between the social structure and architecture trends and each catalouge by means of modernism have been probed. In the chapter of Results and Suggestions, within all the research and data, a general evaluation has been made to understand the architecture in Turkey in 2000 s and all these data have been discussed by means of modernism.
