Summary:

The arrival and physical services being furnished to the historical environment in

rural areas hardly in patches makes the active usage of these places difficult. That situation

effects the local economy, social and cultural experiences directly and has mostly bring

migration to the city centers from the rural areas to a conclusion. The rural historical

settlements which were left are face with the risk of disappearance by passage of time. In

this point “Santa Ruins” which is a fundemental place in terms of especially its historical

importance, lots of architectural estates it harbours and plateau tourism, appears us as an

important value which is about to disappear.

As a part of the thesis study, the module which is developed with a view to the

character of rural accommodation of architectural estates placed in it and the protection

study is formed by four chapters and includes the topics below.

In the first chapter, the purpose and the scope of the study is predicated and a general

definition, concepts and examples furnishing the necessary under work are given way. As a

result of this chapter, a general model is formed for the re-usage of rural historical settlements.

In the second chapter, the information about the study area and the method used are given.

With the general information about Santa Ruins, by which the module developed is going to be
