| Summary: The study made for the aim of evaluating the effect of three dimensional studies to the perception of the facades in the historical environments consists of four parts. In the first part; the aim and the method of the study is defined and city identity and the importance of the historical environments in terms of the subject are indicated. Examples in the scale of Peripheral Preservation in Preserving the Historical Environments, Design Approaches in the Historical Environments, Psychology of Perception, Concepts and Definitions of Perception, Components and the Process of Perception, Perception in Architecture, Visual Perception, Gestalt Psychology/ Perception, Spatial Perception and Environmental Perception titles are explained.In the third part; findings and discussions of the statistical evaluations were given. In the fourth part; results and the suggestions that can be carried out in the later steps in the context of the study were given.
