Summary:

      Architectural education begin in architectural schools but last lifelong. Generally, in Turkey, architectural education begins and finish in 4-year architectural departments. There isnt continuity between architectural education and practice. An architect who finished formal architectural education usually disconnect with institutional education.

The aim of the continuous professional development in architecture is to compose a learning process lasting lifelong.

      The aim of this research is to establish the problems encountered in architectural education and post-education and create an educational model for these problems.

In this study, survey was conducted to architects to detect problems in architectural education. Educational approach and training method are applied have been identified depending on the data obtained from the survey.

      Problem-based learning approach was chosen as an educational approach and distance learning that can meet the requirements of age and has a flexible structure was preferred as the educational method. An educational model has been developed in accordance with the data obtained from the research. Courses must be given in educational model was determined through a survey and course content was created. In addition, a web environment was created according to the education method.

This education model which was designed by researcher was tried with an architect, a group of twenty persons and the functioning of the model was investigated. At this stage of research, the information tests generated by the researcher and attitude scales specified by the views of participants and the researcher were used as a means of data collection. At the end of study, workable of this educational model has been proven despite of some limitations.
